Having trained in martial arts since his early teens, Sumner has achieved a brown belt in Kickboxing and was selected for the Great Britain National Team at 17.  Since then Sumner has had extensive training in boxing and muay thai, dabbling at times in other martial arts in his spare time.

​

During his performing arts and acting training, Sumner has also trained in Contemporay dance, Ballet, Brecht, Stanislavski, Shakespeare, Clowning and Physical Theatre - in particular studying the works of Jacques Lecoq.

Being fortunate enough to have been raised around animals, Sumner has a great affinity for all things furry; he can also ride... but is yet to learn to swing a sword whilst doing so. (A man can dream...watch this space).
